大學二年級修了一門Generative Art and Literature的課，我被課程前半部份的電腦程式耍至半死不活；後半部份的Generative Literature開展了寫作方面的空間，獲益良多，final work借用了電腦程式中的概念設定規則，寫成一篇近一萬字的小說：《陳明欣找李展昇找陳明欣》，故事源自我的親身經歷，再以意創造。小說分三個部份，姑且以A,B,C稱之，三個部份根據規則設定次序，次序會影響故事發展。規則如下：
A --> BC; B --> A; C --> B

我很喜歡這個規則，還沒玩夠，希望可以再發展下去，試試從這個規則設計出另一套規則，或再玩一次。另外，我很喜歡故事內容，畢竟跟自己有關，我對自己的過去很感興趣，即使它是多麼乏善可陳，但可能正因為它沉悶，無甚看頭，令我想到要創作些什麼，讓自己的過去看起來不那麼乏味。寫作《陳明欣找李展昇找陳明欣》時，我比較注意規則如何影響故事發展，忽略作品的文學性，認為這是作品的一大缺點，希望日後有機會創作同類作品時可提高作品的文學質素和可讀性。
大學三年級時修了一門Visual Ethnography and Creative Intervention的課，第一份功課的題目是Things with a Future Tense，我選了北角作為地方主題，因我兩歲前住在北角，後來搬進屯門新市鎮，至今未曾搬離。每次去北角，都有一股莫名的親切感，想像若沒有離開北角，現在的我會有怎樣的生活。功課完成後，這個幻想仍一直存留，希望可以再發展下去，成為更完整的作品。
agnes p.於我來說，是一個階段的小總結，不是一個階段的結束，也不是一個階段的開始，這是用來記錄大學四年裡，在我心裡的最大課題，我一直關心的是什麼，一直影響著我創作的是什麼。還在我心裡縈繞的就是以上兩個創作，同樣關於自身，與自己過去連繫著的作品，我想這次還是跟自身分不開喇，認命吧啦。

We fellows always talking about agnes p., but we all know that, we are just trying to escape from it, and i did. i should finish it last year, but i didn't for some reasons. Now i review my previous works in order to get some inspiration for agnes p.
i took a course called Generative Art and Literature in Year 2, frankly i'm totally not interested in programming, although the concepts are quite interesting, i like the part of Generative Literature so much (perhaps it talks about Italo Calvino), it inspired me on the form and structure of writing, so i used the concepts from programming in the final work, wrote a novel called Yan Finds Ray Finds Yan, which is based on my personal experience. The work is composed of 3 parts, the order of the story is based on the rules i set, the story is affected by the order. The rules are as followed:

i like the rules so much and it has rooms to develop, and i like the story itself also, it is about my childhood, i always like the works about personal experience. A person with a boring past can only construct a better life for himself from the virtual world, perhaps it's the reasons why i always like writing the past. The lack of literary is one of the weakness in the story Yan Finds Ray Finds Yan, since i focused on the rules and constraints but not the content, i wish to improve the literary of the writing work which has that kind of constraints in future.
i took a course called Visual Ethnography and Creative Intervention in Year 3, the first assignment titled Things with a Future Tense, my work is about North Point, where i lived before 2, i moved to Tuen Mun afterwards and haven't moved to elsewhere. i should not have any clear memory about that place, but every time i get there, i felt getting along with there for a long time. The work is from the point of view of another self of me, who didn't leave North Point and grew up in there, what would she see daily, and how were her life, i was curious about this, i always imagine there were another self in North Point. After the project i keep thinking of it, i hope to develop the idea to a more complete work.
For me, agnes p. is a conclusion of the period studying in university, it's about the issue i always care about during the 4 years, the issue which affects my artworks deeply. And i found that it is all about 'self', and my past. my agnes p., inspired and developed from two of my previous works, is about self also.
